Pre-legal actions:
These may include credit checks, telephone calls and the issue of formal letters of demand.
Issue of proceedings:
A Summons is issued and served on the debtor by post.
Judgment:
In undefended cases we would obtain Judgment through the Court Office without you having to attend Court.
Foreign Judgments:
We can apply to the High Court to have Judgments obtained outside Ireland (but within the EU) deemed valid within our jurisdiction.
Registration of Judgment:
Where appropriate, once a Judgment has been obtained we may register this Judgment in the Trade Gazettes.
Lodgment with the Sheriff:
The Sheriff is the person with whom the Judgment is lodged to seize goods to discharge the debt.Enforcement:
We can obtain a Court Order directing the debtor to pay this debt in fixed instalments and advise generally as to other methods of enforcement such as applying to have a Receiver appointed by way of equitable execution, registering the Judgment as a Judgment Mortgage, seeking Orders against third parties.
Judgment Mortgages:
We can register the Judgment as a mortgage on property owned by the debtor.
Orders for Sale:
We may seek an Order on foot of such a Judgment Mortgage to sell property and discharge the debt.Bankruptcy:
Where the debtor has insufficient funds we may apply to have him/her declared a bankrupt.
Liquidations:
We can supply general and detailed company search reports.
